I finished my projects yesterday.  Now I need to decide what I'll take next quarter.  I'm thinking Object Oriented Design and Intermediate VB.  Only 6 classes to go!

Whew...I'm glad they are done.  The database one took about 40 minutes.  Statistics...3 HOURS...By the time I got to the last problem my brain no longer wanted to work.  It was tired.  Now I just have 2 projects to finish by Sunday and I'm done.

First off...Poker went really well.  I placed 2nd out of 17-18 I think.  I didn't get home until 2am.  It was a good thing we played poker too.  During one of our breaks a good friend (that lurks this blog) noticed a fire next to a house being built next door.  It was in a construction dumpster but still close enough to possibly catch the house on fire.  A few people ran down and put water on it until the fire department came.  A few more minutes and there is a good chance the house would have caught on fire. 

Since this is the last week of class, that means it's finals week.  I also have to final projects due.  I have one mostly done and the other partially done. I move offices this week too.  Leesa comes today.  Should be a fun week.  :P  She's gonna get mad at me for not telling her but oh well.  I'll shove a beer her way.  :)

Wednesday was a fun day for me.  So fun in fact that I was too tired to blog about it yesterday.  :)  First off I got to listen to Buck Compton.  He came and gave a talk at work.  He's done some amazing things in his lifetime and I'm glad I got to listen to him.

Later I met up with Mike of Bike fame to eat, share stories of cheese, gaming and...wait for the Police concert to start.  The concert was great.  Mike got a few photos with his camera phone.  I on the other hand don't have a camera phone and they weren't allowing cameras so all I have is Mike's photos and my memories.  It was in Seattle, so we didn't get home until after midnight and I didn't get to sleep after 1am.  I was up at 6:30.  If I chatted to you yesterday and appeared to mumble, don't take it personally.

Well, I'm off.  Poker tonight.  Wish me luck.

Why is it that the day I get AC it starts raining and then cools off even further.  I almost wish for a hot Summer just to try it out. 

I got some great news yesterday!  I move to a new office where I won't have an officemate and I get a window on the 12th.

I am getting air conditioning today.  In order to get air conditioning, I needed a 220 volt 50 amp line installed to the location of the new air conditioner.  I of course decided to do it myself.  Little did I realize that 50 amp line requires 6 gauge wire. 6 gauge wire is really really thick.  Not only did I need to use thick wire, but I need 3 strands of it plus a ground wire.  I spent the weekend putting in the conduit and pulling the wire through.  Not fun.  That much wire does not like to bend around corners. 

I have two ladders.  I was using one and instead of taking it down and moving it, I went to get my other ladder.  I pulled it out and noticed a lot of grass that looked like a nest on one end.  I found these inside:

Then I noticed another bird fly under my eaves and found this little one:

I've become a bird sanctuary.  Of course I get AC today and it's cooler and rainy.  I could have used the AC yesterday.  It was a bear.   Well not one of Leesa's bears.  :)
